Sherri, I am so sorry to hear of Heidi's passing. I loved her irreverance and sense of humor. I also like the fact that when we were dismantling our fish tank many years ago, she took our very shy playtpus.

I don't think I have ever met anyone who brought such an irresistable levity and light-heartedness to the workplace. She was a joy to be around and I was sadden when left she left our organization and now am really grieved by her passing. I always remember her and her green eggs.
I sit and I think about this and I just can't comprehend that it's real. It seems surreal to me. It doesn't seem possible that someone so full of life, so happy, so smart, so loved could be gone this soon. It's happened to me in the past I have lost people like this that I loved with all my heart. The pain of it is so unbearable. There are no words that can make it better but you still need them and want them. So I'm here writing this because I care sooooo much yet I know there is nothing I can do to fix it.

Sherri, please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss; my thoughts are with you during this difficult time. I still remember the time's when we used to play softball and how much fun we all had, they are still some of the most memorable days of my life. These are the kind of things that she will be remembered for - making people smile and bringing laughter in their lives. And while it's going to be very difficult to think of this world without her, it is a happy thought knowing that wherever she is, she is only spreading happiness.

Sharrie, you and Heidi were such good friends to me during the time we all worked together at the Patent Office -- the both of you were a great support and source of advice when thrings were difficult or just plain confusing. I respected Heidi's abilities and professionalism on the job; her honesty, humor and sense of adventure outside the office. Her caring for animals was remarkable -- she is and will be missed on so many levels.

I went to High School with Heidi in Karlsruhe, Germany. I will always how she always smiled and never had a bad word to say about anyone. It looks like that spirit stayed with her through her life. RIP sweet lady.
Sharrie,
I really could not believe the news I heard this morning around the office about Heidi. I am so shocked that someone so FULL of life and with such as passion for life, who took full advantage of all the adventures that life could offer, was taken so suddenly from this Earth (and from you and the rest of her family and friends).
I really regret not keeping in touch after you all after you'd left PTO, but all the memories of you both came flooding back to me when I saw all the pictures on this site of the great trips you all had taken to the most exotic (and remote) destinations aroudn the world. I really enjoyed hearing Heidi's stories at the office about these trips.... I know you will always keep these memories in your heart and am wishing you peace and solace during this most difficult time.
I think of you both often when I look at my cat Tux (the rescue cat you and Heidi gave me); I know Heidi will be now watching over all God's creatures great and small, like a modern day St. Francis of Assisi!
Peace and blessings to you and her family!

So sorry for you, Sharrie. I remember Heidi from the day she started at USPTO and all the projects we worked on together getting our Masters degree from Marymount. She was a real live wire and I always enjoyed our conversations. You guys lived well together. Cuddle the emus and pups and remember all the good things. She's still smiling at you.

Fond Thoughts of Heidi |
March 11, 2013 |
To Sharrie and Sibayton family; I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope you find solace in each other and with the many many friends Heidi gathered over the years. She was the first person who took a minute to sit and talk with me one late night working at the PTO well over 18 years ago. I was a newly hired contractor and walked around most of the PTO employees like I was on eggshells. We had some laughs and it was not hard to be at ease around her. She helped me begin to feel part of the team and I'll always fondly remember working with her. God bless. Jeff ---

Heidi, I remember when I met you at USPTO in 1990 shortly after that I became your secretary and you taught me so many things in order for me to be a successful government worker. You were my co-worker and most of all a great friend to me and not only that a great aunt to my two daughters. We shared so many things together and I am going to miss dearly, your smile and the caring heart you had for my girls and me. Sharrie trust and believe God will give you the strength to get through this and remember that God loves you and so do the girls and me. You and Heidi mean so much to me. Heidi we will meet again and love you sister!!!!
